And he’s ready for the NHL. Lets postulate that S.Y. signs Stamkos and Kane or two similarly solid NHL Forwards. G.R.’s forwards would need to out play some very tough experienced talented pros AND Berggren to get a roster spot. Of course it all depends on Yzerman but he’s has said that he favors the NHL veteran if all else is equal. So other than Berggren, will S.Y. fill his forward openings with Veterans?

One thing that’s lacking and will probably be addressed in the upcoming draft is the lack of size and aggressiveness at the wings. It will be interesting to see if Yzerman sticks with the high value positions at center and defense or looks to fill a need. There will be some great options with the 15th pick.
