Unfortunately now that he’s lost some quickness he loses the puck 90% of the time. (becoming an offensive dead end) He also takes lots of bad penalties. I’d take a Sean Monahan over Perron any day. If Yzerman wants this team to improve he should push hard for guys like Monahan and Montour in free agency, not Perron, or Patrick Kane. They need to get heavier. The last two years when Rasmussen went out it really magnified how light this team is.
