In reply to Mark W. All good points. Campbell was signed for Grand Rapids to mentor Cossa. I think Tyler Motte is an upgrade over Czarnik. Czarnik was not terrible but Tyler is more of a full legit NHL player with 400 NHL games. Wait and see

If they can keep goals against under 3 the Wings will be tough to beat. Would like to see some grit at Forward might have to wait until trade deadline for that.

The path to a playoff spot would require so many things to work out very well. I just don’t see it as very likely. I think 2025-26 will be the year. They’ll probably have a new coach, a legit 2nd line center in Danielson, some better 200ft forwards in the lineup, a much better top 4 D, and a good young goalie.

I think we’re pretty overly optimistic about the D-men here. I hope I’m wrong. Four goalies is about 1 1/2 too many, so hopefully they can find somewhere to deal Husso to free up some more cap space and bring in another solid RD.
