In my opinion Raymond is not a superstar yet and his bet shot to become one is staying with the Wings.

His safest bet is to accept a huge salary increase and keep things cozy. If his agent is too demanding Raymond would be great trade bait for Yzerman to dangle… But he’s not likely to get superstar return offers for him before he becomes one.

There are more in the pipeline too and the cap won’t rise fast enough to pay them all 8 million per/year after good not great seasons.
