Ranking Red Wings Prospects: The Defensemen (+)

In three or four years, it’s not unthinkable that the Detroit Red Wings could have seven defensemen on the roster that were drafted and developed by the organization.

Presuming Simon Edvinsson and Albert Johansson will make the roster this season, they will join Moritz Seider to give Detroit three of their own draft picks on the blue line. William Wallinder and Antti Toumisto represent the next wave that will get a chance, followed by Axel Sandin Pellikka, Shai Buium and Andrew Gibson.
