Agree with you Ken. One other NHL team isn’t much of a tournament. Agree also that most participants really won’t “have a shot”. BUT that means the Wing’s depth has improved.

MBN either starts in Detroitor GR.

Those 2 are the only ones worth watching. This tournament is no more.

Doucet can skate pass has good hands and a high percentage shot often from in close. He showed he can be responsible too. He has enough size to hit people which he may be asked to do more of.Probably he’s ready for GR but he’ll have to really prove it. He could be a nice surprise to some folks in T/C.

Mark you could be right . I saw Doucet in Toledo last year twice and I was impressed by him. He plays with some grit and has skill. The Wings do a good job of making sure young guys play regularly. Sometimes they have too many young guys at GR, and send them to the Walleye for game action instead of sitting in Grand Rapids. The ECHL is a step down from the American League but is still a good league with lots of prospects. Its especially good for young goalies to play a lot of games and face a lot of shots.

I think Carter Mazur and Marco Kasper are more likely because they have a year of experience in the American League. Danielson will get that this year and MBN is further away than that. MBN will get a year in Sweden and then a year in GR. He is 18 years old. Danielson is now 20 years old. I want to see him in GR and see how he does.
