Detroit Red Wings
It’s August and Marco Kasper Is Still a Hot Scorer (+)
What the Detroit Red Wings liked best about the Marco Kasper development last season is that he grew more effective as the season wore on. As a 19-year-old for most of the regular season, the Austrian center scored seven goals in his first 47 games and seven goals in his last 24.
By the time Kasper reached the playoffs, he was a more advanced performer. He played a more assertive style, was harder to play against and seemed to be a more dangerous offensive performer. Kasper boasted three goals, four assists and 30 shots on goal in nine postseason contests. He totaled 12 shots on goal in two consecutive playoff games against Rockford.
