One Dream Accomplished, More To Go For Wings’ Baker (+)

White Lake, Mich. native Austin Baker, like thousands of his peers, grew up fantasizing about playing for the Detroit Red Wings.

His dream hasn’t come true yet,  but he moved one step closer last month when he was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the seventh round of the NHL Draft in Las Vegas.

“It was super exciting,” Baker said. ”My family went crazy. Growing up, being a Detroit fan, they were obviously super excited and I was, too.”
