It’s too easy to lose him to what I call ‘the college life’. If smart enough, they opt out of sports. The rest go into ‘beer mode’. Taking your pro life in hockey falls off or disappears. Had great thoughts for Savage too! I think SY should have known someone would overpay for Stamkos – andvNashville did! $8MM for a 35 year old is ridiculous! Kane is as good as him and has proved it away from his original team. The deal Stevie made it’s Kane was reasonable and actionable – one that should be mirrored by other teams. He has made his moves – we’ll see how they work out
