Mark you might see some of them at Toledo to start the year. The Wings do this sometimes for two reasons. One they have too many players and they dont want young guys to sit.They do this with goalies especially.Also some kids are not as physically developed and they need to get bigger and stronger before they are ready for the American League.Years ago this was an issue when the Wings shared Toledo with the Chicago Black Hawks. Often European kids did this.

    Also remember the Griffs are only allowed to play six vets for each game. This wasl also more an issue under Ken Holland because he would have too many vets there. Some would have to sit. I am looking forward to the Griffs season. They should have many young players in the lineup and be strong in goal with Cossa and Campbell.
